Wellspring Church is an Anglican congregation in Englewood, Colorado. Since 2020 it has used the former Englewood Methodist Church, a modernist building completed in 1965 to designs by the Denver architect Thomas E. Moore.

The nave is the remarkable part: 22 precast half-arches of prestressed concrete, each about four metres wide, were lifted into place by cranes and form a tent-like roof – raising them took four days. The space is 47 metres long and 15 metres wide and seats around 440 people. Between the concrete arches are 24 stained-glass windows designed by Moore and made by members of the congregation. The folded form creates an accordion-like effect.

The congregation was founded in 2000 and today belongs to the Anglican Church in North America. Since 2025 the building has been extended with a new entrance area.

History

The building was constructed in 1964–65 as Englewood Methodist Church; the cornerstone was laid in June 1964. The Anglican Wellspring congregation, founded in 2000, took over the building in 2020 in exchange for its previous church building. In 2025 work began on an extension with a new entrance and fellowship spaces, scheduled for completion in November 2026.
